Food scraps are as nutritious and healthy as the parts you use to prepare the meal. Do not discard the following six food scraps.
1. Kale/collard/chard stalks
All vegetables are healthy. Some part should be thrown away. However, chard and collard stalks can be eaten. You can also use kale stalks to prepare various dishes. The stems of these leafy greens are full of glutamine. This amino acid strengthens your immune system. It is good for people who work out. Cut the stalks into small pieces and sauté them until soft.
2. Ginger peels
Did you know that ginger skins are a wonderful source of vitamins and minerals? They are soft enough. Simply slice the peels and use them later to make tea. You can put them in olive oil and use it as a fragrant salad dressing.
