Gluten can be found where you never expect to find it. Here is a list of seven foods that you still believe contain no gluten:
1. Some chocolates, gum, and licorice
Gluten can be used as a thickener in some brands of chocolate. You know that wheat flour contains gluten and manufacturers use it during production of gum to prevent it from sticking to the wrapping. Read the labels and you’ll see that candies can also have gluten.
2. Deli meats
If the product contains starch, then be careful. Wheat starch contains gluten so you might want to avoid fillers based on wheat. Honey and BBQ baked meats are very likely to have gluten.
