5. Jukkasjärvi, Sweden
Sweden has plenty of villages. But the Kiruna region of the country is special since there is the village of Jukkasjärvi. The area is famous for the first ice hotel. Agencies arrange Northern Lights tours. You might also want to take a tour during which you can enjoy Sweden’s starry skies if the Lights aren’t visible. Staying in an ice hotel is probably not that cheap. Luckily, there are less expensive options. All of them are good enough to see the Lights and do numerous winter activities.
6. Northern Canada
The places mentioned above are not as expensive as Canada. However, if money is not an issue, you are welcome to visit Canada. The country is covered with the ‘Aurora Oval’. Tpurists love visiting the provinces of Yukon. Of course British Columbia and Nova Scotia must not be missed. Finally, Newfoundland, Northwest Territories and Northern Saskatchewan are also known destinations recommended to people who wish to see something unique. To observe the Lights, the right conditions are required, but it is worth your wait and patience! Spend the rest of your vacation skiing, skating, whale-watching and visiting dozens waterfalls.
