5. Preparing your own meals
Actually, cooking your own meals on vacation is the coolest experience ever! First, you save hundreds of dollars on your food. We know that restaurants and cafeterias are always more expensive. Second, it’s fun to buy products at the local store or market. You taste what the natives eat and drink and familiarize with a new cuisine of the country you are staying in.
6. Slow seasons
Pick the slowest seasons and enjoy travelling all around the globe. Costs are much lower during off-seasons. There are fewer tourists at airports and railways stations. You will never need to queue for tickets. Cafes and restaurants are not stuffed with people and prices there are more affordable than usual. The only thing you should bear in mind when planning an off-season trip is the weather conditions in the country you are going to.
