3. Decorations
We could not imagine a Halloween party without all those themed decorations. They are all around us and we think we also need to do something to make our environment look different on that special day. In fact, you can do very well without the skeleton butler you saw at your neighbor’s and the toy Ghost TV at your grandma’s.
4. Scary movies
Horror movies are watched throughout the year, not only during Halloween. This tradition is part of the holiday. It’s not bad at all. The problem with it is that the fear we used to feel once watching them keeps fading – as we get older, we understand better that the reality is at times more terrifying that scary movies.
5. Kids
The main change happens when you have children of your own. Now it’s their turn to dress up and yell ‘trick or treat’. They will keep giggling and eating candies that they received from your neighbors, relatives and friends. Accept this change – that’s the way life is supposed to be lived.
