Spring cleaning is coming up. It is time for all of us to start the ‘renewal’ program. Clean yourself from inside out – let’s make changes to our eating habits first.
As we all know, Lent lasts 40 days. This period starts right after Pancake Day and ends before Easter. During Lent people tame their desires and get rid of unnecessary luxuries.
1. Swapping carbs
Replace all the bad carbs with good ones. Instead of candies, chocolates and buns eat whole breads, grains, fruits and vegetables. Use brown rice instead of white and quit eating junk food. Opt for unsweetened tea and coffee. Throw away sodas and drink mineral water instead.
2. Have an early meal
The digestive system needs more time to rest. Avoid heavy meals at night. If you do so, you will feel hungry in the morning. Have a substantial breakfast and you will not want unhealthy snacks later in the day.
