Unpasteurized Cheese
Feta as well as blue cheese and brie belong to unpasteurized cheese products. Read the labels to see whether what you are about to buy is pasteurized. Avoid unpasteurized beverages like milk, cider and juice.
Mercury
Mercury is the element that you can typically find in most seafood. Mercury can damage your child’s nervous system. Avoid the following: king mackerel, shark, swordfish, and tile fish. Other species like shrimp, catfish, Pollock and salmon contain lower levels of mercury. The serving size of the mentioned seafood should be as little as 13 oz. per week.
