The foods listed below are great. However, you should avoid eating them for dinner if you know you are going to a party where you will be drinking alcohol.
Here is a list of things that do not agree with strong drinks:
1. Salty Snacks
Alcohol has dehydrating properties. If you like salty snacks, such as pretzels, chips or popcorn, you will make your body suffer from dehydration even more. If possible, replace your salty snacks with watery products, for example, sliced cucumber, watermelon or any other fruit or vegetable that is juicy.
2. Salad
Leafy greens are superb almost at all times. The only time they cannot be eaten alone is before a big night out. Drinking after salad is like drinking on an empty stomach – it’s unhealthy and will make you dizzy instantly. Add some lean protein, such as turkey, chicken or fish. Protein takes hours to digest and slows down the rise of alcohol level in your blood.
