Have a closer look at the nutrition labels of various foods. If you suspect that the products you buy harm your body, you should probably stop consuming them. It is even more important to know what the food your kids eat consists of.
Read the labels to find out the ingredients and nutritional value of kids’ snacks.
1. Sugar
The less starch and sugars you find in kids’ snack, the better! We know that kids love sweet foods but snacks that are spicy and salty also have huge amounts of added sugars. Read what the package says and avoid products that contain too much of this substance.
2. Artificial ingredients
In adult foods we always find artificial ingredients. The bad news is that artificial stuff is added to kids’ foods too. Read the labels and you’ll see that manufacturers put lots of different stuff that does not come from natural sources. Artificial flavors and colors are added to make the food more attractive and tasty. However, they harm our health. Producers also put too much corn syrup – one of the components that contain lots of added sugars. Chemical preservatives are also there. They make the shelf life of the product much longer, but they shorten your children’s life! Most of the mentioned ingredients influence the way your kids feel, learn and think. They get exhausted and tired much faster. They are less productive at school and home. They suffer from obesity and develop many other health issues.
