3. Sweet Cereal
It’s misleading to believe that eating a bowl of cereal is healthier than digging into a burger. Not if it is done late night. Cereal is sugary and increases blood sugar. It’s inevitable to gain fat if you eat sweet food in the evenings. Instead of cereal have some popcorn without flavors and additives.
4. Alcohol
Although alcohol is not food, we have decided to include it in our list simply because it is very typical of many people to drink a glass of their favorite booze after late dinner in order to relax after a hard day at work. Alcohol dehydrates the body and disturbs the restorative function of your inner organs. If you must have a strong drink in the evening before you go to sleep, then have plenty of water as well.
5. Coffee
We all know that coffee should never be drunk at night. We even know the reasons why. Coffee is no food, but it should be mentioned once again that foods as well as drinks that contain caffeine should not be consumed before bed. Avoid cola and chocolate, too. All of the mentioned products have stimulating properties. It’s much better to drink a cup of herbal tea with a soothing effect – mint or chamomile, for instance.
